About Kristin

Kristin Beth Ferris, known by many as “Kbf”, has enjoyed an extraordinary career focused on creating and developing several small businesses and a non profit organization. Her background includes co founding The Ferris Design Group, a woman owned space planning and interior design firm focusing on contract and municipal projects, planning and producing small gatherings for 20 to street festivals for thousands at Riverfront Recapture - an innovative non profit organization on the forefront of Connecticut’s Greater Hartford area revitalization, and ultimately founding The Ferris Group CT, her own full-service special events firm. Soon thereafter, Kristin joined forces with her brother Eric to form The Ferris Group.

Currently serving as The Ferris Group’s “Chief Creative Officer”, Kristin carefully defines a client’s vision, creates and develops a meaningful strategy to achieve their goals, assembles and produces all aspects of the associated project, and manages it from inception to post event evaluation. Kristin’s creativity, dedication and irrepressible passion
for her work coupled with a genuine commitment to her clients earns her the honor of being the other
half of the brother/sister team at The Ferris Group.

Kristin was recognized as one of the Hartford Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” in 2007 and most
recently, a Corporate Leader by the MS Society of CT. She is a member of the International Special
Events Society, International Festival & Events Association, and sits on the board of directors of the
Hartford Youth Scholarship Foundation and the Metro Hartford YMCA Camp Woodstock.

Kristin enjoys any beach, dancing, a round of golf, Penn State Football, and quality time
